Improving your quality of life through friendship and support
Focus on Friends is a consumer driven drop-in center that provides a safe, community-based environment. It strives to improve the quality of life for people coping with substance abuse or mental illness through social interaction and peer support.
Focus on Friends serves adults ages 18+ who have a mental illness. The agency has been certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health since 2007. The center is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thrusday, Friday 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.Focus on Friends offers the following group services:
The Focus on Friends goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for individuals with mental health or substance abuse issues who need peer support and are looking for ways to engage in activities that support or improve quality of life. The drop-in center provides a unique mix of socialization, education, advocacy, and support as well as the opportunity to be a part of a caring community of individuals who have experienced mental health issues.
Our board of directors includes: Miranda Tippie, Colleen Benelli, Regina Arreguin, Ryan Kidwell, Joe Kizer, Bill Spraw, Mark Kline, Julie Banner, Richard Beltz, Michelle Huff, Susanna Gant and Ashley Wagner.
