Focus on Friends is a consumer driven drop-in center that provides a safe, community-based environment. It strives to improve the quality of life for people coping with substance abuse or mental illness through social interaction and peer support.
Focus on Friends offers the following group services:
The Focus on Friends goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for individuals with mental health or substance abuse issues who need peer support and are looking for ways to engage in activities that support or improve quality of life. The drop-in center provides a unique mix of socialization, education, advocacy, and support as well as the opportunity to be a part of a caring community of individuals who have experienced mental health issues.
Our board of directors includes: Miranda Tippie, Colleen Benelli, Regina Arreguin, Ryan Kidwell, Joe Kizer, Bill Spraw, Mark Kline, Julie Banner, Richard Beltz, Michelle Huff, Susanna Gant and Ashley Wagner.

October 24, 2012 The Hancock County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services presented its AnnualVIPawards at their Board meeting on October 23, 2012. Receiving awards were Tony Grotrian, NAMI of Hancock County and Donna Ridenour. The Board presented Tony Grotrian with the Volunteer of the Year
