Focus on Friends is a peer-led recovery center that provides a safe, community-based environment. It strives to improve the quality of life for people coping with substance abuse or mental illness through social interaction and peer support.

Focus on Friends serves adults, ages 18+, who have been impacted by mental illness or substance misuse. The agency has been certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health since 2007.  The center is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. the second Saturday of each month.

Focus on Friends offers the following group services:

Computer Literacy
Resume Writing/Job Interviewing
Art Opportunities (crafts, drawing, painting, scrapbooking, etc.)
Board Games and Pool
Wellness Group (Food programs)
Exercises (outdoor, Wii, and chair)
Cooking Groups
Movie Days


The Focus on Friends goal is to  provide a safe and comfortable environment for individuals with mental health or substance abuse concerns who need peer support or are looking for ways to engage in activities that support or improve quality of life.  The recovery center provides a unique mix of socialization, education, advocacy, and support as well as the opportunity to be a part of a caring community of individuals who have lived experience with mental illness or substance misuse.
